What is the price of honor?

In the hidden chambers in the courts of justice, ambition, greed and corruption reign supreme. Justice is twisted out of shape and anyone will do anything in their thirst for power.

When Kathleen Talbot is assigned her first important case as a circuit court judge, she must confront more than her trial at hand in this dangerous world. The case on the docket - a controversial “mercy killing” of a brain-dead victim by a vengeful officer – is a painful reminder of her own decision to have her terminally ill father’s life-support system cut off.

At first, Kathleen’s sense of honor impels her to proceed, regardless of the consequences. But as the case progresses and the pressure mounts, she soon realizes that she, instead, has been put on trial. Meanwhile, with the position of executive judge up for grabs, political favours and backroom deals sweep through the courtroom, as judges are out to score the most votes.

Her Honor is a stunning legal drama and the very human story of a woman's struggle to balance pride, passion, love and honor.

Her Honor eBook William J Coughlin

An exceptional story about a young woman prosecutor being groomed for a run at the office of Governor who decides to take a position as a judge instead. Once in the position a series of events occurs which threatens both her life and her career. The story provides a realistic look at the justice system and the people involved in it. The main character is a wonderful person and reading her story is extremely interesting. I would highly recommend this book to you if you like stories about the working of the judicial system.

Her Honor eBook William J Coughlin Reviews

I enjoyed this book very much and I learned a lot about the court system and about letting the plugs be pulled when a person is already brain dead. I would like to see a sequel to this book.
I've read a number of Mr. Coughlin's books and believe this is the best one yet. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Fabulous read! Very intricate but after listing all the characters I was able to keep it together. Politics is an ugly business but I loved that justice prevailed in the end. Not to mention a happy ending.
Another good book from this author. Very intriguing and an expertly woven story. I highly recommend this book! An interesting look at the real court system.
A nice story and an easy read. Quite predictable story and outcome. The heroine is a good character and finds herself under the spot light for a situation from the past, which affects the people and lawyers presenting a similar case in her court. Good light hearted reading with court scenes and some investigation. Those who like legal fiction will find this an enjoyable read.
Courtroom dramas I love. Don't know if it's 'old history' in the U.S. Judicial System as a non U.S. national - or whether discrimination against women could possibly still exist? So I can't say how far past in time this novel is placed. This is a moving story of a mother/child relationship, the challenges of a working mother, overcoming family history and public perceptions, true honour in public life. The love story is warm and moving. Love conquers all! I loved it.
Interesting plot and would have been more fun to read if---1-Fewer characters 2-Way to many to keep up with 3-Ending was not to satisfying and almost certainly predictable. Would like to give it four stars but just can't bring myself to do that. All in all though it is a decent story and a fairly good way to spend two or three evenings reading. Due to the relatively short length and great price I can recommend your taking the time to read it.
